Graphic design services.

Graphic design uses visual compositions to solve problems and communicate ideas through typography, imagery, colour and form. There’s no one way to do that, and that’s why there are several types of graphic design of which I will explain here on my services page.

To name a few, I create postcards, flyers, magazines, newspaper ads, posters, banners, billboards, infographics, brochures (print and digital), vehicle wraps, signage and exhibition displays, email marketing templates, PowerPoint presentations, menus (coming out of my ears!), social media ads, banners, graphics and images for websites and blogs.

I’d love to discuss the service you’re looking for. We can brain storm together and work out a good starting point.

  • Advertising.

I create adverts to promote up-and-coming events, what’s on over the new few months, and new products and services. A good way to create awareness, gain new customers, and increase sales. This was created for The Dog & Duck, a combination of venue photography and my hand-drawn illustration.

  • Animated gifs - animation.

Created to add interest to an email campaign or to draw attention to your website. This eye-catching way of communicating adds a new dimension to how you speak to your audience. Below was used on an email campaign for Ideal Collection. Why not consider this for your next e-shot. We’ve also worked on more complex animations using story boards to create the end product.

  • Art-working.

Not all the work I do is conceptual, there is always an element of art-working required. For me this is usually when the overall concept has been designed, once approved it is then applied to all elements. This could be a range of resizing exercises or template work. Art-working also has a requirement to copy write, proofread and make good for print.

  • Brand identity & logo design.

If you are a small start-up I offer a three-month payment plan to make designing you a professional logo much more affordable. Alternatively, you may be an existing business looking for a refresh or total overhaul for your whole brand. Either way, I’d love to develop this with you.

  • Digital visual content creation.

Okay, in short working with you closely…You supply me with an idea of what you want to visually communicate > I determine the direction of the content > I design the images/banners that are required keeping within your brand guidelines > We proofread > You sign off > It goes live

  • Email marketing using Mailchimp.

I create ‘stand-out’ email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp for you to send a monthly newsletter or just send out a one off email to your database engaging and communicating with your targeted customers.

  • Environmental graphic design.

I have experience working in the area of environmental graphic design. It visually connects people to places to improve their overall experience by making spaces more memorable, interesting, informative or easier to navigate. For example I’ve produced signage, wall murals, museum exhibitions, office branding and event and conference spaces

  • Event Identity

I create the overall look and feel for events. This is then applied to all deliverables such as signage, posters, banners, lanyards, programs, advertising, the website, social and emails. It’s critical to achieve a striking design while ensuring its legibility and clarity. I have worked on food fairs, shows, conferences & exhibitions through to more local promotional hospitality events.

  • Hand-drawn illustration.

I create some designs in a hand-drawn style. I draw on paper, scan in and colour up in Photoshop. I have used this technique for more informal projects such as event advertising and promoting festivals.

  • Infographic design.

An infographic is a collection of images and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic. Sometimes I create these for certain projects as they lend themselves to helping communicate a lot of information yet in a clear visual way.

  • Large format exhibition design.

If you are exhibiting or presenting you may need some powerful, attention-grabbing and engaging graphics. I am experienced in creating pull up banners, curved backdrop displays, kidney units, fixed panelling and over head banners.

  • Packaging design.

Packaging design is very rewarding as you get to see your creation on-shelf and on sale to the public. I create concepts, develop mockups and create the print-ready files working closely with the printer. Having worked on many designs that have reached supermarket shelves, I have a good understanding of design placement and how the packaging is manufactured.

  • PowerPoint presentations.

I regularly create presentations for clients making their life easier and their message strong and impactful. If however they would like it editable I will create it using PowerPoint. This process means I design the deck to their brand, various layouts of what they may need and usually create the whole presentation.

  • Publication design.

When designing publications such as books, newspapers, newsletters, directories, magazines, catalogs and brochures, I focus heavily on communication, layout and organisational skills along side colour management and print knowledge. Publications have traditionally been a print medium, however, there’s recently been a significant rise in digital publishing.

  • Website design & maintenance.

Creating affordable, beautiful, responsive websites to showcase your company and support your business. I’ll set your website up to ensure you can also make future updates. I also offer a monthly website maintenance service where I create content and update images and copy. When I already know your brand this makes the process even easier and ensures consistency.
